Daimler is working with Shell and Linde to increase the number of hydrogen fueling stations in Germany.

After opening two stations in Wiesbaden and Frankfurt last month, two more hydrogen stations have been opened in Sindelfingen and Pforzheim. This brings the number of H2 filling stations in Germany to 32 locations.

The new sites are located on the A8 and A81 motorways at key intersection points for traffic routes in southwestern Germany. The two stations, built by Daimler, feature H2 filling technology from Linde and are Shell service stations. All three companies are partners in the H2 Mobility joint venture.

Daimler says it plans to have up to 100 filling stations by 2018 with as many as 400 service stations in Germany planned by 2023 as part of its H2 Mobility joint venture.
