UV Resistant Cables Target Harsh Environments

01 December 2014

Industrial cable manufacturer Cicoil has rolled out a line of flat festoon cables designed to withstand harsh environments in motion applications.

The cables are UV resistant, provide reliability in severe temperature and tough weather conditions for applications such as overhead and gantry cranes, monorail hoists, car wash equipment, conveyors, telescoping jetways and material handling systems. Cicoil said these cables are an alternative to Neoprene and PVC jacketed flat cables that sometimes have difficulty in these type of conditions.

According to Cicoil, the flat cables allow for multiple conductors to be placed in a flat cable and for the stacking of multiple cables, which is helpful when space is constrained and a tight bending radius is required.

Cicoil’s flat festoon cables that can be used in industrial applications such as cranes in hard environments.

The cables are available from stock and cable assemblies and are offered in 3 foot, 6 foot and 12 foot lengths.
