Let the hub bub begin. Apple Inc. is gearing up to deliver a 12.9-inch iPad with production slated to begin in the first quarter of 2015.
According to an article from Bloomberg citing sources with knowledge into Apple, the iPad would be the largest tablet the Cupertino-based company has ever produced with current iPad products offered at either 9.7 inches or 7.9 inches.
Bloomberg said that Apple has been working with suppliers for at least one year to develop a new range of larger screen iPads. The people with knowledge into Apple also noted that Apple’s suppliers have recently started manufacturing an updated 9.7-inch iPad and Apple is set to enter production on a new version of the iPad mini with both devices available in time for the holiday season.
Bloomberg also cited its sources as saying that Apple is also increasing the screen size of the iPhone with an event planned on Sept. 9 to unveil the bigger-sized iPhones. There will be two new iPhone models – one with a 4.7-inch screen and one with a 5.5-inch screen.
