LG Electronics Business Solutions unveiled the world’s largest OLED screen and high-definition video wall. This new huge screen is located at the Dubai Aquarium, the video wall was created with 820 Open Frame LG OLED digital signage panels. A 7,600-square-foot screen measures 164-feet wide by 45-feet tall. LG partnered with Emaar Entertainment, the operator of the world-class aquarium in the Dubai Mall near the Burj Khalifa.
LG OLED is referred to as next-generation display technology because it is emissive, meaning the display emits its own light and eliminates the need for bulky inefficient backlighting. This means that the images display the deepest possible blacks, infinite contrast ratios and lifelike colors with wider viewing angles than the conventional backlit displays.
The use of Open Frame LG OLED signage displays at the Dubai Aquarium works well because it has a curved form factor so the display follows the waves and ripples of the flowing water. Open Frame LG OLED signage displays can be configured into convex or concave curves in landscape and portrait, depending on what the customer wants. This display can blend easily into any public or private space.
