The OLED display consists of 140 55-inch curved OLED panels and measures 13 meters high by 8 meters wide. LG says the display is the same size as three large sized shipping containers. The company teamed up with French design firm Wilmotte & Associés to create the display that acts as signage for the airport. It says it plans on installing a second 13-meter OLED display in the airport as well.
“These OLED displays perfectly complement the advanced technology that our airport has become known for,” says Park Wan-su, president and CEO at Incheon International Airport. “We are always eager to showcase to the millions of travelers every year the cutting-edge technology that originates from Korea. OLED is a prime example of that.”
