D-Link has announced that its mydlink Wi-Fi Smart Plugs are now compatible with Google Assistant on Google Home, as well as with eligible Android phones and iPhones. You can control your mydlink Wi-Fi Smart Plugs from anywhere in your home by saying “Ok Google” and asking Google Assistant to turn the plugs on or off. This opens a whole new world for homeowners managing appliances. No longer will you have to stress about forgetting to turn off the lights after you’ve left home. Just simply use voice-control to shut off the smart plugs wherever you are.

To configure your devices, go into the settings menu of your Google Home or Google Assistant App, select Home control and connect the smart plugs. The D-Link Smart Plugs are the first of the mydlink products to configure with Google Assistant. D-Link aims to expand the range of Google Assistant compatible products so their customers can manage automated devices easily.
