Konka North America, a subsidiary of Konka Group, a digital home entertainment manufacturer in China, will enter the smart home market at the upcoming CES 2021.
Konka will debut a line of video doorbells, smart cameras, smart plugs, smart switches and smart lighting at the world’s largest tradeshow. This will complement the company’s already released Smart TV line, which can be controlled through its proprietary app.
The smart home devices will be Wi-Fi compatible, so a central hub — such as an Amazon Alexa, Google Home or Apple Pod — will not be needed to operate these devices.
The company said its line of Android TVs will integrate with its smart cameras so that when someone presses the smart video doorbell, the image can appear on the TV screen. All of the smart cameras from Konka can be viewed on the TV screen, making it the hub of the smart home, if needed.
The smart home devices will also work with Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and IFTTT.
CES 2021 will be all digital and takes place Jan. 11-14.
