Levarys GmbH has revealed that it is using Qorvo’s ZigBee Green Power chips as part of its recently introduced Smart Home system for energy management.
The Luna Smart Home System includes thermostats, small radiator valves, temperature, door and window sensors, and smart plugs wirelessly connected to a gateway. Qorvo’s Green Power chips allow this system to be secure and operate within a long range for transmission of wireless data between the gateway and the multiple sensors and activators in the Luna Smart Home system.

The system makes intelligent decisions based on input from the sensors.
Consumers can use the Smart Home system to heat individual rooms by combining a smart radiator valve with a temperature and window sensor. So if a homeowner forgets to close a window, the Luna system will automatically stop heating the room. Once the window is closed, it will turn the heat back on.
The Luna Smart Home System is slated to be available in many European countries beginning in September.
