Deako’s modular smart lighting system will be installed in homes in California, Arizona, Colorado, Washington and Oregon as part of a deal with real estate builder New Home Co.
Integrating smart home technology with new or existing real estate sales is not a new thing. The market was one of the first to adopt smart home technology when it emerged about five or six years ago.
Homeowners will move into the New Home houses with the lighting systems already embedded allowing users to customize lighting needs with plug-in-play switches. Deako said the system helps homeowners save more on electricity while also giving more flexibility to lighting platforms.
Deako launched similar agreements with American Legend Homes, LevelTX and other builders for lighting in real estate.
