Google’s Tangi social media network offers DIY help in 60 seconds

03 February 2020

Google’s lab for experimental projects, Area 120, has started building Tangi, a social video sharing app that features do-it-yourself (DIY) videos to assist with creative projects.

The videos, which are 60 seconds or less, give viewers ideas for cooking, fashion, beauty, DIY and art. They also allow users to connect with others who may share similar passions or to help in the process of creation.

Google worked with creators already developing short videos to build a library for users and has been experimenting with new ways to show how these DIY projects can be presented in quick video formats.

The Tangi social media platform also has a “Try It” feature where users can recreate items presented in the video and then share them with the community.

The app is currently available in the Apple App store or users can go to Tangi for ideas.
