Advanced Thermal Solutions Introduced a Portable Temperature Mapping System

05 September 2018

Advanced Thermal Solutions (ATS) Inc. announced the introduction of its new liquid crystal and surface thermography systems. TVLYT is a cost-effective and portable system for precision measurement of electronic components and integrated circuits. It is used to locate spots and defects, verify integrated circuits and to analyze the temperature gradient of electronic devices and systems.

The system uses thermographic liquid crystals (TLC), which when illuminated with white light, change their reflected light as temperature changes. This allows engineers to create maps of temperature gradients on the surfaces of electronic components or printed circuit boards.

TVLYT comes in a travel kit to allow inspections on remote sites or at any type of workspace. It is easy to assemble and includes ThermView Lite, a software package for precise temperature readings. Also included in the kit is a color macroscopic optic camera with a 16 times digital zoom and manual focus that connects to a computer through a USB connection, a bottle of black ink, a brush and two bottles of thermochromic liquid crystals (TLC) – one for a temperature range of 40° to 60° C, and the other for the range of 80° to 90° C.
