Bourns has extended the voltage range of its high-power TVS diode PTVS3 product series. The 15 V bidirectional high current PTVS diodes specifically address the protection needs of DC power supplies and power management systems with 12 V batteries. Model PTVS3-015C-TH offers bidirectional port protection meeting IEC 61000-4-5 8/20 μs current surge requirements. According to the company, the solution provides a lower clamping voltage under surge, greater performance stability and increased reliability, especially for exposed or harsh-environment power supplies. The new model is available now and is RoHS compliant and halogen free.
