Mouser Adds ADAS Data to Automotive App Site

23 October 2015

Mouser Electronics has just added Adaptive Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) to its Applications & Technologies sites, providing design engineers with the resources they need to learn about the latest advances in ADAS and the components carried by the company for building ADAS systems.

The site also includes automotive electronic safety systems that provide increased driver and vehicle protection. ADAS enhances the driving experience and promotes an increased level of safety for automotive accident reduction. Safety features include blind spot detection, lane departure warning, collision warning and tire pressure monitoring. ADAS also provides for limited autonomous driving features such as adaptive cruise control, parking assistance, traffic sign recognition, lane change assistance and collision avoidance. Functional block diagrams include technical explanations of each block, along with a list of related products available from Mouser.com.

Product examples include the ON Semiconductor NCV78763 Dual LED Driver for automotive headlights, Freescale FXTH8715 Tire Pressure Monitoring Mixed Signal Microcontroller and AVX CAN000x CAN BUS Varistors designed specifically for automotive applications.

The articles section discusses topics relevant to automotive technology and the technical resources section lists videos, application notes and white papers that discuss device selection and system considerations when designing automotive electronics systems. The section includes data and discussions on ADAS radar, engine control and more, plus extensive resources for electric vehicle/hybrid electric vehicle (EV/HEV) applications.

I've recently found a mobie app https://zaven.co/projects/inzura.html (check it out) and it has some useful features, like you must drive safely if you want to gain some points that can be change for car insurance discounts. And the b est thing is that it works! For example me; I drive slowly and I'm trying to be careful because it is fun, you can check everything on your app after the drive, like the speeding and if you were careful on bends, later you get points and then some discounts. I love it and recommend it
