Anritsu’s dual analyzer designed for cable and antennas

20 June 2024

With its introduction of a new compact, hand-held solution merging the functions of cable and antenna analysis with spectrum analysis and monitoring, test and measurement solutions provider Anritsu says that it’s launching a “new era in field testing” for a diverse set of applications across a wide spectrum of industries.

According to Anritsu, the Site Master MS2085A Cable and Antenna Analyzer and the MS2089A with Integrated Spectrum Analyzer offer the highest performance and the most capabilities ever offered by Anritsu in a compact handheld tester since the introduction of its first line sweeper in 1995. With frequency coverage up to 6 GHz, the new solution is designed from the ground up to address the demands of the general-purpose market, industry standards for functionality, precision and user operation.

Anritsu provides a list that includes telecommunications, broadcasting, aerospace, satellite and defense. The solution can facilitate a variety of applications from distributed antenna systems (DAS) and satellite monitoring to interference analysis and routine installation and maintenance tasks.

Among the highlighted features and capabilities of the Site Master MS2085A/89A are:

  • Multifunctional capability: The Site Master's integration of cable and antenna analysis alongside spectrum analysis is designed to equip professionals with a singular, versatile tool for a wide array of testing and analysis needs. It can serve as a comprehensive solution for assessing antenna systems, diagnosing wireless networks or conducting spectrum signal monitoring.
  • Operational efficiency: Merging multiple testing functions into one device, the Site Master optimizes field testing workflows. This consolidation reduces the need for multiple instruments, streamlines testing processes and allows for greater achievements in shorter timeframes — effectively enhancing productivity while minimizing operational costs.
  • Accuracy and dependability: Engineered for precision and built to withstand rigorous field conditions, the Site Master is built to ensure consistent, reliable outcomes and instill confidence in every test result. This allows for precise, informed decisions under a wide variety of circumstances.
  • Advanced features: These include Real-Time Spectrum Analysis (RTSA), IQ capture and streaming and PIM hunting.
