iWave has introduced a new system-on-module (SoM) that incorporates the Open Standard Module (OSM) defined by SGET and a microprocessor from STMicroelectronics.

Called the STM32MP13X LGA SoM, the device is used in high-end wearable and other low-powered embedded and consumer applications.

Features of the module include:

  • MPU with Arm Cortex-A7
  • 1GB DDR3L
  • 16Mb QSPI NOR flash
  • 1 x RGMII, 1 x USB 2.0 OTG, 1 x USB 2.0 host
  • 2 x SDMMC, 2 x ADC
  • 4 x UART, 1 x console UART, 2 x SPI, 2 x I2S, 2 x I2C
  • 16 x OSM GPIOs
  • 188 contacts

Additionally, the device is built on a 30 mm x 15 mm OSM size-0 standard, which is the smallest size in the OSM variants for building portable consumer products.

STM32MP13x OSM SoM can be mounted to a carrier board as a single board computer (SBC), which can also be used as an evaluation kit. The SBC is available in Pico-ITX form factor for integration into machine learning applications.
