Binatone has introduced at CES 2021 what it claims is the first mask that combines technology and safety to keep consumers safe and connected in one device.

The MaskFone combines a true wireless headphone and a medical grade N95 filter mask together with a built-in microphone to navigate through the COVID-19 global pandemic. The device allows people to be protected while still using daily gadgets as it comes with built-in wireless earbuds that have environmental noise cancelation features to suppress background noise.

The mask allows for 12 hours of on time with hands-free calling and to communicate directly through the mask via the microphone. Additionally, the MaskFone includes voice projection powered by the Hubble Connect app for clear audio and is Amazon Alexa compatible to play music, control smart home devices, manage calendars, get weather updates and enable access to Alexa’s other features.

Also at CES, Binatone plans to introduce what it claims is the world’s first MegaFone mask that comes fully equipped with a detachable voice projector that offers a walkie-talkie mode for voice projection and two-way talk. Users can also pair with other MegaFone masks allowing for a mesh network of communication that requires no smartphone and is completely hands-free while simultaneously protecting against viruses such as the coronavirus.

The MaskFone will be available later this year in retail outlets.

CES 2021 is all-digital and taking place this week.
