Pico Interactive has introduced two 4K virtual reality headsets designed for VR solutions for the enterprise market.
The Neo 2 and Neo 2 Eye offer six degrees of freedom, spatial stereo speakers, an all-PU facial interface and room for prescription glasses. They are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 mobile platform.
Pico partnered with Tobii, an eye-tracking company, for the Neo 2 Eye that improves daily enterprise operations and applications. Using the eye-tracking VR capabilities, Pico said, companies can gain a deeper understanding of customer behavior, enhance training efficiency, improve productivity and increase overall safety at work.
The Neo 2 Eye includes dynamic foveated rendering, reducing shading load in application by up to 72% and increases framerate up to 66% as well as improved graphics and battery performance.
Pico said the VR headset will help enterprises provide a way to work with others that are remote or in the field while conforming to social distancing policies due to the outbreak of COVID-19. This includes using Mozilla’s Firefox browser that is built-in with mixed reality browsing for all Pico headsets.
