At the upcoming CES 2020, Kohler Co. will introduce new smart appliances designed to increase convenience and comfort for homeowners.
The smart appliances include the Kohler app for iOS and Android devices, which can also be ported to Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple HomeKit.
The new appliances include the Moxie showerhead and smart speaker, which allow users to sing and dance in the shower without having to use a smartphone or radio. Instead, the smart showerhead, powered by audio giant Harman Kardon, can connect to voice assistants with a built-in speaker, giving the user hands-free control over the music they listen to while showering.
The company is also introducing the Aquifer Refine water purification system that when installed in a kitchen offers improved drinking water quality. It also connects to Wi-Fi to monitor water usage and filter life as well as built-in leak detection and auto-replenishment of filters.
The Setra touchless kitchen faucet is a touchless and connected kitchen faucet that homeowners can operate without having to touch the faucet. Instead, a sensor and voice assistant are used. The faucet also monitors water usage and allows consumers to track water consumption.
The DTV mode digital shower system provides a push-button to control the shower in three configurations such as bath/shower, dual shower and bath only. It also integrates a temperature dial to adjust maximum temperature for safety. Users can also remotely start a shower or bath from the Kohler app.
Finally, the touchless toilet from Kohler provides a touchless flushing function in the form of a sensor placed in the flush lever of the toilet, which activates by placing a hand in front of the lever.
CES 2020 takes place Jan. 7-10 in Las Vegas.
