Wolfspeed introduces next-gen 1700 V SiC Schottky diodes

10 January 2019

Wolfspeed has added new Schottky diodes to its family of 1700 V MOSFETs in optimized packages suitable for high-voltage applications operating in harsh environments. Wolfspeed 1700 V SiC Schottky diodes and SiC MOSFETs deliver high efficiency and system cost savings for the renewable energy and electric vehicle (EV) markets.

Wolfspeed’s new 5th generation 1700 V SiC Schottky diodes feature a high current rating, zero reverse recovery and forward voltage drop. The product family is designed to withstand high-humidity environments, making it ideal for outdoor applications such as solar and EV chargers.
