LG Electronics plans to reveal the next phase of its smart kitchen appliances at the upcoming CES 2019 trade show in Las Vegas on January 8-11.

The company will introduce new kitchen appliances, including a smart oven, connected refrigerators, dishwashers and other food preparation items. The company is also partnering with Drop’s Kitchen OS platform, which allows users to select recipes through the system. Kitchen OS also helps automate elements of the cooking process and can automatically preheat an oven or adjust time, temperature and cooking mode based on a recipe.

Additionally, LG will introduce a new smart display wireless speaker system for kitchens with built-in AI ThinQ capability that offers hands-free cooking options via Google Assistant, the company said. The speaker system includes a 9 in touchscreen that can display thousands of recipes from smart kitchen platform services.

The smart oven features an easy cleaning feature that removes food residue. The smart dishwasher can detect which recipe was prepared to inform it of the optimal setting for spotless cleaning of dishware and utensils.
