Mouser Electronics Inc. is now stocking the AmbiMate sensor module MS4 series from TE Connectivity (TE). It has four core sensors on a single printed circuit board (PCB) assembly. The AmbiMate sensor modules enable simple integration in many host products in building automation, lighting and smart home applications. AmbiMate sensor modules are pre-engineered and assembled.
TE's AmbiMate sensor module MS4 series include sensors for motion, light, temperature and humidity, with the optional additions of sensors for sound, CO2 and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The modules offer multiple attachment options to integrate the pre-assembled PCB into the host board. The MS4 series sensor modules share a common seven position connection, allowing a single PCB footprint to accommodate all available sensor configurations.
The sensor modules are made for building automation applications that use environmental data to inform product decisions. TE's AmbiMate sensor modules with an integrated microphone can augment motion detection by listening for sound events. The modules can detect occupancy, humidity, temperature and light levels, allowing building controllers to adjust indoor lighting, HVAC equipment, energy management and other zonal environmental controls.
