Controx-Neuhauser Introduces New Circular Cutting Tool for PCBs

When PCBs are manufactured, it is common to manufacture multiple smaller PCBs together on one large panel to maximize production. These panels are then cut into individual components (depaneled), frequently using small routers bits, which is both slow and dusty. Controx-Neuhauser's new special saw blades are designed for straight line depaneling of PCBs at higher cut rates and with minimal dust. These new cutting tools are ideal for glassfiber and ceramic based PCBs (FR2, FR4, CEM1, CEM3) as well as aluminum and copper circuit boards. Larger panels can be cut with special V-scoring cutters that create either a 25° or 30° prism angle to create a breaking point. These panels are then cut by circular cutter knives, which Controx Neuhauser also manufactures.
