PCB Depaneling Saw Blade form Controx-NeuhauserControx-Neuhauser, an expert in the manufacturing of cutting tools for more than 100 years, has introduced new monolithic circular cutting tools in solid carbide and high speed steel for the depaneling process of printed circuit boards (PCBs).
When PCBs are manufactured, it is common to manufacture multiple smaller PCBs together on one large panel to maximize production. These panels are then cut into individual components (depaneled), frequently using small routers bits, which is both slow and dusty. Controx-Neuhauser's new special saw blades are designed for straight line depaneling of PCBs at higher cut rates and with minimal dust. These new cutting tools are ideal for glassfiber and ceramic based PCBs (FR2, FR4, CEM1, CEM3) as well as aluminum and copper circuit boards. Larger panels can be cut with special V-scoring cutters that create either a 25° or 30° prism angle to create a breaking point. These panels are then cut by circular cutter knives, which Controx Neuhauser also manufactures.
