AEG Power Solutions has introduced a new transformerless uninterruptible power supply (UPS) that combines a compact footprint with flexible configurations.

The Protect Plus S500 UPS is the latest addition to AEG’s range of devices designed for critical loads for small and medium applications that need low power but where space is an issue. The UPS works from 400 VA to 4 MVA and features an economy mode for secured operation up to 99 percent reducing the utility costs associated with operating UPS devices.

The UPS also produces less heat waste resulting in minimized air conditioning costs, system AC/AC efficiency up to 95.5 percent and includes removable internal modules contributing to low mean time to repair (MTTR).

The system’s hot connection and disconnection of parallel units and the CAN bus based distributed control systems allow for optimum load sharing for data and IT systems or for industrial vendors. The system can be expanded up to six units for parallel power.

The Protect Plus S500 is available now.
