KEMET Corporation has announced its electronic components app for Android. The Android app provides the same access to over 350 capacitor and electronic component product datasheets as the company’s iPad app.
App users can easily navigate by product type or search by keyword. The publications are stored locally providing fast access without the need for continuous Wi-Fi connectivity. The app notifies users when datasheet updates are available and provides automatic downloads, eliminating concerns over outdated product information.

The app also includes access to KEMET's CapacitorEdge, an advanced part finder that enables users to search through nearly 6 million KEMET parts, one of the most extensive parts databases available according to the company. The user simply enters a KEMET part number, partial part number, description, competitive part number or searches by electrical/physical characteristics.
In addition, the app also features Engineering Center, KEMET's online education resource focused on providing practical answers to questions involving passive components in electronic applications, as well as K-SIM, a parameter simulation tool that aids design engineers in analyzing capacitor performance over a variety of conditions.
