The kit provides full support for Apple HomeKit, for the fast-growing smart home segment. The move prompts the creation of accessories with rapid response time as initial pairing takes only 4.5 seconds, while pair-verify takes only 250 ms.

The DA14580, housed in a tiny 2.5 x 2.5 mm package, offers the lowest power consumption in its class with a peak current of less than 5 mA to maximize battery life. The device also features end-to-end encryption, says Dialog.

The kit features a power profiler for power-optimized coding and a SmartSnippets software development environment. SmartBond kits are available now at https://mfi.avnet.com/MFI/.
