Hewlett-Packard (HP) plans to reduce a further 5% of its workforce in addition to the 55,000 jobs it already plans to eliminate.
The PC vendor began laying off employees in 2012 when it initially had a target of 25,000 jobs to be eliminated as part of a restructuring. However, that number has escalated to 55,000 people in the coming years. Now, the number is growing again and HP says it will exceed the 55,000 layoff number by up to 5%.

More information on what to expect from the split of HP will come when the company meets with analysts on September 15.
