Surface mountable 5 mm glass fuse holders

22 July 2026

A new surface-mount (SMT) fuse holder from Keystone Electronics Corp. allows standard 5 mm x 20 mm glass cartridge fuses to be mounted directly onto the surface of a printed circuit board.

Designed to meet the demanding requirements of modern high-density circuit boards, the holder Source: Keystone Electronics Corp.Source: Keystone Electronics Corp. combines robust overcurrent protection with the efficiency of automated manufacturing. Rated for up to 10 A, 500 V DC, the holders mount directly to the board without manual soldering.

The design bridges the gap between traditional glass fuse reliability and modern SMT production lines. The holders feature a durable PA9T UL94V-0 base with specially tensioned tin-plated, brass contacts that provide low-contact resistance with optimal performance while keeping the fuse securely fastened against severe vibration and mechanical shock.
