20 February 2026

Waygate Technologies has introduced a pan-tilt zoom (PTZ) camera system designed for a range of visual inspection applications in confined spaces or hard-to-reach industrial environments.

Waygate, a Baker Hughes company, built the Mentor Zoom to perform in harsh conditions for remote inspection and monitoring repairs and maintenance operations up to 40 meters underwater.

The camera system can work in applications like:

  • Pressure vessels in chemical plants and refineries
  • Underground storage tanks or sewers

The cameras incorporate 4,000-lumen built-in illumination for visibility and extension of inspection distance, Waygate said.

Other Mentor Zoom features include:

  • Removable touch screen with integrated joystick
  • 3-meter cable
  • Textured 3D environmental views
  • Automatic detailed 3D models for verification with digital twin features
  • Built-in localization
  • 3D scanning tools
