Consumer startup Luna has unveiled what it calls the first wearable that provides hands-free, voice-led interactions that are powered by Apple’s Siri AI assistant.
Called Luna Band, the wearable offers voice-led health guidance for personal health information that provides actionable guidance rather than just data, the company said.
The Luna Band’s dynamic logging via voice input allows users to:
- Log meals
- Log symptoms if sick or hurt
- Interpret emotional context
- Request health guidance
The Luna Band includes an optical sensor array that is paired with a high-fidelity six-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU) that can capture physiological information, circadian fluctuation, emotional stress signatures and other patterns.
“In a market saturated with devices that simply report numbers and do analytics, Luna Band introduces a radically different philosophy: guidance over data,” said a Luna spokesperson.
The core of the guidance is in the LifeOS, a real-time adaptive engine that processes thousands of physiological signals per minute, Luna said. LifeOS identifies:
- Recovery
- Stress
- Circadian alignment
- Hormonal patterns
