09 July 2024

Newark, a division of Avnet, is now stocking Japanese chipmaker Murata’s UWB and long range (LoRa) connectivity modules for wireless integration.

These modules are designed to help with wireless development and certification for a wide range of applications like the internet of things (IoT), battery operated smart devices, portable internet devices and more.

The UWB modules from Murata include:

  • FiRa Type 2BP — which includes NXP’s SR150 UWB chipset, clock, filters and peripheral components.
  • Bluetooth low energy (BLE) wireless MCU Type 2AB — for ultra small low power devices.
  • UWB tag module with integrated BLE — for coin-cell battery and general IoT devices.

Meanwhile, the LoRa modules from Murata include the Semtech SX1262 LoRa Connect transceiver IC and ST Microelectronics STM32L0 MCU. The LoRa modules include:

  • LoRa OpenMCU Module, Type 1SJ-295
  • LoRaWAN Modem Module, Type 1SJ-6868
