Israeli lidar startup Lidwave 4D sensor is available for industrial and automotive simulations on Cognata’s perception hub running on Microsoft Azure and using AMD processors and GPUs.

Called MonoStaticOne, the sensor is based on finite coherent ranging (FCR) technology that allows for streaming of high-quality raw data of range, reflectivity and instantaneous velocity per pixel.

Lidwave said it will showcase the MonoStaticOne at next week’s CES 2024.

Cognata will show its perception platform along with the lidar from Lidwave that will include different safety situations and use cases in the automotive sector. The platform uses highly accurate sensor modeling, along with a wide spectrum of sensors such as RGB cameras with varying lens distortions, point-cloud systems, thermal cameras and more.

"This new tool enables automation developers, integrators and OEMs, to experience the 4D sensor advantage over what they encountered before, and unlock new possibilities for autonomous driving, smart cities, robotics, and more,” said Yehuda Vidal, CEO and founder of Lidwave.

CES 2024 takes place January 9-12 in Las Vegas.
