Teradyne and proteanTecs have entered a strategic partnership to enhance semiconductor testing and debug processes for advanced system-on-chips (SoCs).
Under the deal, proteanTecs’ on-chip agent data and analytics software will relate to Teradyne’s test programs for tester, inline and real-time decisions. The two companies are already engaged with customers in mission-critical applications.
Alphawave Semi is using technology leveraging the combined workflow. With the technology, Alphawave was able to optimize their AVS flow to reach minimum possible voltage to operate their device, which contains optical digital signal processing (DSP) technology acquired from Banias Labs.
The joint agreement provides a simpler method for retrieving data from on-chip agents on a device under test (DUT) and reports the data back to the user for real-time inference settings or up to the cloud for later processing. This along with analytics and machine learning allows:
- Insights from the chip
- Accurate outlier detection
- Personalized power optimization
- Per-die grading
- Increased test coverage
