What is billed as the largest transition in automotive history as automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) move to electrification, companies are looking to quickly add multiple electric vehicles (EVs) to their fleets.

While this began in 2022, next year is likely to see even further developments as these vehicles roll out to consumers. However, along with the automotive OEM transition, EV charging is becoming equally as important as more vehicles on the road mean more charging stations will be needed to accommodate them.

At CES 2022, EV technology came in huge, and this year is likely to be very similar if not a larger presence. EV charging looks like it may also be seeing similar uptake in hype with many plans already being announced from EV charging vendors.

One such vendor is solar and energy storage company Power Electronics, which will come to CES 2023 with a 5,000 square foot booth to showcase the company’s electric mobility ranging. This includes EV infrastructure charging stations for bus depots, car dealerships, highways and more.

Power Electronics will display its new developments in the domestic range such as luxury and racing vehicles.

Over the last 10 years, CES has become a vital vehicle show with not just cars but vans, shuttles, bikes, boats and everything else that can travel on an electric motor. So, it makes sense for charging station vendors to get in on the act and present their latest wares particularly as this technology is becoming as equally important as the new EVs and other electric transportation modes.

Blink Charging has announced it will unveil a suite of new products for residential, commercial and fleet customers across many global markets. Details are minimal for now but will surface during the trade show.

These two companies are likely not the only ones that will be in attendance and offering new charging solutions. We will find out next week when CES 2023 takes place January 5-8 in Las Vegas.
