Autel Energy is coming to CES 2023 with a suite of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions including the debut of Zero Labs Automotive’s all-electric 1969 Ford Bronco, a custom-built EV costing about $350,000.
Autel said converting classic cars into EVs may become a huge market as government mandates and consumer interest continues to push EVs into the forefront of the automotive market. Automotive OEMs are currently in the throes of their largest transition in history with every manufacturer quickly moving to increase their EV fleets to take advantage of consumer interest and position themselves better for future growth.
The all-electric 1969 Bronco restoration will be at the Autel Energy booth in the Las Vegas Convention Center at CES 2023, taking place Jan. 5-8. The vehicle was customized from the ground up by Zero Labs, an automotive firm specializing in EV conversions.
The Bronco features a carbon fiber body and fully electrified 600 hp, dual-motor propulsion system featuring a 100 kWh battery and 235 mile range.
“As the country transitions to electric vehicles, we wanted to show that embracing the future doesn’t mean that you have to give up the past,” said John Thomas, COO of Autel Energy. “We’re always innovating and love to partner with companies who share a passion for performance, and we’re proud to be partnering with Zero Labs to showcase this vintage vehicle at CES, blending tradition with technology.”
Autel Energy will showcase its residential and commercial chargers including a DC fast charger with an advertising-ready 27 inch color touchscreen display. Autel’s MaxiCharger family of AC home and commercial chargers will also be on display as well as its DC bi-directional vehicle-to-everything home charging, DC fast charging and digital energy management offerings.
Autel Energy designs, develops and engineers integrated solutions that help achieve carbon neutrality and solve some of the biggest challenges seen today in the EV charging space.
Autel will be one of several EV charging companies coming to CES this year as these charging companies feature their latest technologies in conjunction with numerous EVs that will debut at the show.
