CES 2023: TDK expands machine learning portfolio with Qeexo acquisition

04 January 2023

TDK Corp. has acquired Qeexo Co., a machine learning startup designed to bring automation for edge devices. The announcement was made during the annual CES trade show taking place this week in Las Vegas.

After customary closing conditions are completed. Qeexo will become a wholly owned subsidiary of TDK.

Qeexo AutoML technology enables a no-code environment for data collection and training of 18 different machine learning algorithms including neural networks and non-neural networks to the same dataset while generating metrics for each. This allows users to pick the model that best first their requirements, TDK said.

The platform allows users to leverage sensor data to build machine learning solutions with low latency and low power consumption. Potential use cases include:

  • Internet of things
  • Wearables
  • Automotive
  • Mobile
  • Industrial automation

Qeexo was established in 2021 after being spun out of Carnegie Mellon University.
