Quick-turn electronics manufacturing vendor Naprotek has acquired RF fabrication developer MicroFab Inc., the company’s fourth acquisition to grow its electronics technology portfolio.
The move will continue Naprotek’s expansion into RF products and services. Naprotek said it will be able to now offer an array of custom build-to-print thin film products that will be supported by a wider spectrum of thin film technologies.
Microfab provides ion beam etching, plating, dicing and micro-machining as well as thin film components for communications, microwave, biomedical sensors and fiber optic applications for the defense, medical and telecom markets.
The company will be integrated into SemiGen, a Naprotek company, where the manufacturing process and products will enhance its product and service offerings.
SemiGen has seen demand grow for manufacturing processes and products and the acquisition of MicroFab will increase its RF portfolio and capabilities.
