Swiss-American startup Swisspod has entered into an agreement with the Transportation Technology Center (TTCI) and PuebloPlex to build and test a full-scale prototype of their transportation system in Pueblo, Colorado.

The pods would carry up to 30 passengers or cargo between major cities in the state in minutes. The pods would allow a vacuum-sealed tube to reach speeds up to 670 mph using magnetic levitation and propulsion.

The initial plans will use a magnetic levitation track to validate its propulsion system, but the full scale prototype will require more space and PuebloPlex property will allow it to build a larger system. PuebloPlex is a re-development area that will include international trade zones, mega parks, energy services, transportation loading, business and personal storage, and more.

Swisspod will test and validate technology patents for a propulsion system and will build a full-scale capsule and operational infrastructure for cargo transportation in collaboration with TTCI.

TTCI will provide engineering insight, operational and test plan support with Swisspod.
