Teradyne Inc. has started volume production on its Magnum Epic memory test equipment for 5G memories including LPDDR5, DDR5, GDDR6 and future dynamic random-access memory (DRAM).
In addition to 5G smartphones, the memory could also be used for data centers and high definition graphics applications.
The Magnum Epic allows for signal integrity of the devices and enables a high parallelism. The test equipment also supports features such as high-bandwidth mode and source sync required for testing the latest DRAM devices. These increase the eye size of the device under test (DUT) output data in or out (DQ) signals for higher yields and improving margins.
