Video: Drones now come equipped with flamethrowers

19 July 2019

While the majority of current drones are of the basic flight and photography variety, some just happen to come equipped with flamethrowers.

The TF-19 Wasp by Throwflame is designed for remote ignition of aerial and ground targets for industrial use and the agricultural industry.

Instead of using traditional means for destroying debris from power lines, remote agriculture burns and insect or nest eliminations, companies can ignite fires using a drone.

The TF-19 Wasp drone can ignite targets up to 25 ft away with a 1 gallon fuel capacity so everything can be torched for about a minute and a half.

The drone is based on the DJI S1000 with a payload capacity of about 5 lb. A rail attachment connects to the DJI S1000 to allow the flamethrower capability.
