CES 2019: Bluetooth smart wallet wins award for cyber security

07 January 2019

Ledger has introduced its latest Bluetooth-enabled hardware wallet, the Nano X, which allows users to manage secure transactions, install and uninstall apps and check real-time balances on the go.

The wallet works with the Ledger Live Mobile app (available for iOS and Android on Jan. 16) to connect the device to smartphones for increased mobility. The smart wallet can store up to 100 crypto assets, which is six times more than Ledger’s previous wallet, the Nano S. The Nano X also includes a larger screen.

The Nano X earned a CES Innovation Award in the Cyber Security and Personal Privacy category, honoring consumer electronics technology products that protect and enhance digital security.

The Nano X’s security isolates private keys from an owner’s computer or smartphone in order to protect cryptocurrencies. The smart wallet supports more than 700 different cryptocurrencies and can send and receive cryptocurrency payments from anywhere.
