Source: Cypress SemiconductorCypress Semiconductor Corp., SparkFun and Digi-Key are collaborating to deliver a new internet of things (IoT) development platform for makers and designers to prototype sensor-to-cloud solutions quickly and easily.

The board uses a SparkFun add-on shield that helps simplify system designs with the Cypress PSoC 6 microcontroller built specifically with IoT in mind. The new board allows makers and engineers to incorporate multiple wireless connectivity options and the SparkFun Quiic sensor system while prototyping with the PSoC 6 MCU.

This sensor network offers the flexibility to use any sensor or any wireless protocol and is expandable, future-proof and economical, Cypress says.

The developer board gives a maker or engineer everything they need to prototype a sensor-to-cloud solution using the hardware found on distributor Digi-Key with full documentation and example projects as well as videos and code found on the SparkFun website.
