The memory kits are specifically designed for the new AMD Ryzen and Ryzen Threadripper platforms, offering memory options at DDR4-2400 megahertz in 2-, 4- and 8-module kit configurations with 8 GB and 16 GB modules, which allows for 16-, 32-, 64- and 128-gigabyte memory kits for an AMD system.
AMD currently has two platform offerings where Ryzen supports dual-channel with two or four memory modules and Threadripper supports quad-channel memory with four or eight memory modules. G.Skill says it is offering memory speeds of up to DDR4-1933 megahertz or ultra-high capacity at 128 gigabytes.
The new Trident Z RGB modules support OC profile support on compatible motherboards to achieve high performance DDR4 memory speeds. These new modules are scheduled for availability in October of this year.
