The new Flare X series. Source: G.Skill Piggybacking on the release of AMD’s Ryzen Threadripper processors targeted at gamers, G.Skill International Enterprise Co. Ltd. has expanded its Flare X series of DDR4 modules that are compatible with the processors and motherboards.
These new DDR4 modules are designed to achieve high frequency at DDR-3600MHz 32GB (8GBx4) as well as a total capacity at DDR4-2933MHz 128GB (16GBx8). There are also new quad-channel DDR4 memory kits, including the DDR4-3200Mhz CL14 32GB (8GBx4) and DDR4-3466MHz CL16 32GB (8GBx4).
G.Skill says the memory kit frequency speed is the fastest memory kit it has released for an AMD platform. The Taiwanese company says the Flare X series runs at 1.35V, which is required for high-capacity, high-bandwidth gaming systems.
