The French, Hong Kong-based company Fillony LTD has launched a Kickstarter campaign for POLAR SEAL, their breathable, heated zip-top garment that is made to keep the wearer warm while withstanding demanding cold, alpine conditions.

POLAR SEAL allows wearers to be active and enjoy high-performance sports while maintaining style, comfort and warmth. The top comes in a range of colors and sizes in both men’s and women’s cuts. POLAR SEAL has been tested in the alpine conditions in California through all kinds of winter sports and activities.

There are two heating zones on the lower and upper back of the top. The wearer can turn on either or both zones, depending on the amount of heat desired. Color-coded heating zone buttons on the sleeves allow users to adjust zone settings. Three heating levels can be controlled from the buttons on the sleeve. The low level is 40°C/104°F, the medium is 45°C/113°F and high is 50°C/122°F.

POLAR SEAL has a standard 10,000 mAh power bank. On the highest setting with both heated zones activated, POLAR SEAL can keep a user warm for up to 8 hours. It only takes 10 seconds to heat so the effects are almost instantaneous. The top is compatible with standard USB power banks, allowing the user to choose the power bank that fits best, including one he or she already owns.

The top has two ultra-thin dissipation layers and the heating element is integrated into the garment. This top, made of 92% polyester and 8% elastane, was designed to be flexible and breathable. It is also water-resistant; a wearer can play in the snow and then hand-wash the garment with detergent afterward without having to worry about destroying the technology. The buttons on the sleeve are shockproof so you don’t have to be careful with the top in rough terrain or be careful to accidentally change the settings. The buttons are reactive enough to work with gloves on so you can adjust heating on the ski lift, slopes or anywhere without having to mess with taking your gear off.

This comfortable garment is ideal for most outdoor sports and activities. It can be used for jogging, hiking, biking or just walking around.

The Kickstarter campaign has raised $87,599 of its $49,832 goal pledged by 549 backers with 26 days left in the campaign. Backers can purchase a POLAR SEAL top for $139. The tops will ship out in November 2017.
