Atari to Build New Video Game Console

19 June 2017

It has been a very long time since Atari made waves in the video game industry but now the makers of the classic gaming system say they are making a comeback by developing a new gaming console that will be based on PC technology.

A tease of the Ataribox gaming console was released at the recent Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in a video showing what appears to be a retro-style gaming box with the Atari logo on top.

While there are no details of the new Atari console and no release date has been given, the console will be the first from the company in more than 20 years once released.

Of late, Atari has been working mostly in the mobile gaming space and has been licensing its brand out to movies, entertainment and more.

Stayed tuned!
