The EMS 2 offers remote settings adjustment and control functionality for heating and cooling.The Log-One Ltd. Energy Management System (EMS) acquired by Kontrol Energy Corp. (ON, Canada) in December 2016 is being upgraded to the next generation version of the EMS technology.
An Internet of Things (IoT) upgrade will enable device to device communication, device to Cloud communication and device to smart phone and tablet communication by the EMS 2. The system is being marketed to building owners, landlords, property managers, national retail chains, and institutional real estate investors who require deep energy conservation in the areas of heating and cooling without the cost and complexity of full building automation.
The current version of the EMS provides up to 25 percent per annum in energy savings. The EMS 2 will seek to increase those savings to in excess of 30 percent per annum, while adding a robust data analytics platform.
