The full line of Electrocube RC Networks Arc-Suppressing Resistor-Capacitor Circuits is now available from distributor New Yorker Electronics. These RC Networks, made of custom-designed precision capacitors and resistors connected in a series, prevent or minimize the occurrence of arcing and noise generation in relay and switch contacts. The accumulation characteristic and impedance of the capacitor absorbs spark discharges and induced noise, while the RC time constant delays and averages surge voltage and oscillations.
The Electrocube line is available in configurations of single-phase standard and heavy duty, as well as three-phase standard and heavy duty. The dielectric material used in manufacturing maximizes voltage withstand strength, affording protection against inductively-induced potentials.
Electrocube offers a wide selection of case configurations with a number of leads, manufactured both off-the-shelf and made to custom design specifications, for applications from 1 to 40 networks in a container. Unique suppression designs eliminate surges produced by relays and solenoids, while case packaging meets or exceeds the flammability requirements of UL94VO.
More than 400 precision UL-recognized and ULC-approved RC Networks are available. The Electrocube RC Network Substitution Box allows an operator to select and match various combinations of resistors and capacitors to optimize spike reduction and/or reduce EMI levels. Once a combination is determined, reference codes provide the proper RC Networks device based on RC value results.
Applications include machine tools, switchgear, motor controllers, computers, telecommunications, automated equipment, industrial appliances and elevators/escalators.
New Yorker Electronics also supplies the full inventory of Electrocube film capacitors, EMI filters and high-frequency transformers, plus in-house brands such as Seacor supplier (electrolytic capacitor banks and precision capacitors), F-Dyne distributor (film capacitors), with Southern Electronics sales (film capacitors) and pfc Precision Film Capacitors and Standards.
