AC1200 Powerline Adapter Has Built-in Wireless Access Point

TL-430 power line adapter Source: Trendnet TL-430 power line adapter Source: Trendnet Trendnet® has launched the WiFi Everywhere™ Powerline 1200 AV2 Access Point, model TPL-430AP, designed to help eliminate wireless dead spots.

The Powerline adapter utilizes both Powerline and wireless technologies to bring consumers whole-home wireless coverage. Powerline adapters plug into any standard outlet and use existing electrical lines to create a wired home network. Trendnet’s Powerline adapter also doubles as an access point to deliver a wireless signal from nearly any power outlet. 

The WiFi Everywhere Powerline 1200 AV2 Access Point supports Powerline 1200 networking with a built-in, dual-band wireless AC1200 access point. The TPL-430AP Powerline adapter supports MIMO with beamforming technology to enhance performance and range. Powerline range is up to 984 ft. (300 m) over existing electrical lines. WiFi Clone support duplicates current wireless network settings for faster network integration.

Trendnet will also offer the WiFi Everywhere Powerline 1200 AV2 Kit, model TPL-430APK. The kit includes the TPL-430AP Powerline adapter and TRENDnet’s Powerline 1200 AV2 adapter with built-in outlet, model TPL-421E. The adapters are pre-encrypted and auto-connect out of the box.

Trendnet’s WiFi Everywhere Powerline 1200 AV2 Access Point, model TPL-430AP, and the WiFi Everywhere Powerline 1200 AV2 Kit, model TPL-430APK, will both be available around April, worldwide through major retailers and authorized Trendnet partners. The TPL-430AP single Powerline adapter will list for $124.99. The TPL-430APK Powerline kit will cost $174.99.
