The Renesas Synergy Platform integrates qualified software with new microcontrollers (MCUs), an ecosystem of tools and support options. According to the company, it aims to accelerate time to market, reduce total cost of ownership, remove barriers to entry that engineers face when developing connected products and enable embedded systems product development at the API level.
Barriers to development exist in connectivity, data management and security as well as business strategy and organizational cohesiveness. The Renesas Synergy-Trained IDH partners have received training on the Renesas Synergy Platform to leverage their own specialized expertise in critical IoT design areas such as cloud, security and connectivity. Initial IDH Partners chosen for certification include Avid Technologies, bb7, DeviceLab, EPD, HW1, MicroLabo, NPE, RPA, Xaplos and Zephyr Engineering.
Renesas has also added certification for its IDH partners that provide hands-on training classes to support its device and platform customers. The first two IDH members are HW1 and BNS. CTC partners receive special instruction, custom training materials and priority field and factory support from Renesas. The CTC partner facilities will include a dedicated Renesas design lab, available by appointment to customers that need design assistance or access to design equipment. CTC training courses are scheduled to begin in December.
