The Coventor MEMS+ 6.0 design platform is an advance toward a MEMS design automation flow complementing the already entrenched CMOS design flow. The advance enables rapid integration of MEMS with electronics and packaging.
MEMS+ 6.0 enables MEMS process design kits (PDKs) and second-generation model reduction capabilities. Itprovides for customized integration that achieves low power, high performance, a small footprint and lower costs. It also enables rapid customization, integration of MEMS and enforces design rules and technology constraints.
MEMS+ 6.0 will enable users to create a technology-defined component library that imposes constraints and design rules to reduce design errors. Included is a second-generation model reduction capability with export to MathWorks Simulink and the Verilog-A format. The reduced-order models (ROMs) simulate almost as fast as simple handcrafted models. However, it ismore accurate so that system and IC designers can include accurate, non-linear MEMS device models in their system- and circuit-level simulations.
